The basic idea of a human library began in 2000 in Copenhagen. It was designed to facilitate human connection and conversation as a way of overcoming differences. In a human library the “books” are people, and folks “check out” a book in order to have a conversation and learn about them. This model has been replicated, expanded, and adapted in countless ways.
Please join the University Career Center @ INFO and the INFO College’s Office of Opportunity, Access, Community Engagement, and Support (OACES) for an evening of networking with alumni and industry partners. At the Human Library, you’ll connect with our volunteer “books” to learn more about career pathways of interest and how your degree is preparing you for the future.
